What we collect
- When you join Evinca or contact us: your name, email address and, if you choose to give them, your role, organisation, interests and message.
- When you subscribe to updates: your email address and where on the site you subscribed.
- When you browse: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.
The “recognition record” preview and the readiness check run entirely in your browser. What you type there is not sent to us.
How and why we use it
- To reply to you and set up your interest in Evinca, our courses or a partnership. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To send you updates about Evinca and new courses, only if you tick the box or subscribe. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us.
- To keep the website secure and running. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests.
We never sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract:
- Supabase, which stores form submissions in its London (United Kingdom) data centre region.
- Netlify, which hosts this website and serves it through a global network.
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Cookies and storage
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser stores your light or dark theme choice and, if you install the app, a copy of the site for offline use. Neither is used to track you.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you. We keep subscriber emails until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email us. We will reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
We'll update this page if how we use personal data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
